Presentation at The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters

On Monday 2th September, Hege Gundersen (NIVA) and Glen Peters (CICERO) were invited from The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters to hold a presentation about Carbon uptake in forests – The Earths’ natural buffer for climate changes. Glen was dealing with the green – and Hege with the blue forests. Hege told the story about the Norwegian kelp forests that are slowly growing back after decades of sea urchin grazing. She also explained why this is good news for the thousands of species living in these forests, but also for the global carbon budget.
